A serial sub sandwich-stealing suspect has been nabbed upon his return journey to a Publix grocery retailer in The Villages.
John Witkowski, 46, who lives on the Rolling Acres Flats in Woman Lake, shortly earlier than 7 p.m. Friday entered the shop at La Plaza Grande, went to the deli counter and ordered three sub sandwiches, with a complete worth of $31.77, in keeping with an arrest report from the Woman Lake Police Division. He walked out of the shop with the sandwiches and didn’t pay for them. He was positioned in handcuffs and brought into custody.
Publix managers made the police conscious that Witkowski appeared to have been concerned in two earlier thefts of sub sandwiches. He ordered and walked out with three sandwiches on July 21 and 23. Every time, the order totaled $31.77. He was caught on surveillance leaving the shop with out paying for the sandwiches.
The native of the Bronx, N.Y. is going through three counts of theft. He was booked on the Lake County Jail and launched on his personal recognizance.
