The brand new Woman Lake police chief took the oath of workplace Monday night at Woman Lake City Corridor.
It was a household affair as Steven Hunt took the oath together with his spouse Vanetia holding the Bible and his 14-year-old daughter Camilla formally pinning him. The Bible had belonged to his father.
“We aren’t afraid of the evil on the market,” Hunt stated after taking the oath.
He stated that officers should “do the job with compassion” and “deal with folks the way in which they need to be handled.”
He teared up when he talked about how essential it was to him to be again in uniform. He had retired from the police pressure in Bangor, Maine. He took a job with the Florida Division of Monetary Providers, however longed to return to police work.
