A girl driving a rented golf cart was injured after colliding with a Tesla on County Highway 466 close to the gate on the Village of La Zamora.
The accident occurred when the Bushnell girl at 6:40 p.m. Saturday pulled out from Chula Vista Avenue and into the trail of the Tesla which was westbound on County Highway 466, based on an arrest report from the Girl Lake Police Division.
The girl driving the golf cart was transported by ambulance to UF Well being-The Villages Hospital. The Tesla driver was not injured.
The girl instructed police that she was taking a look at a map on her cellphone and didn’t see the signal indicating that golf carts weren’t allowed previous the exit gate on the Village of La Zamora.
