The discharge of a Florida Freeway Patrol accident report is shedding mild on a collision of a golf cart and Camaro at a gate in The Villages.
Donald Jeffrey, 76, of the Village of Duval has been recuperating at Ocala Regional Medical Heart because of the June 27 accident on the gate on the entrance to the Village of Hemingway, which is positioned close to Havana Nation Membership.
Jeffrey had been on the wheel of his black 2009 Membership Automotive golf cart at 6:55 p.m. that day touring the multi-modal gate when he crossed Odell Circle, having did not yield to a silver 2017 Chevy Camaro pushed by a 73-year-old Wildwood man. The Camaro was touring by the gate which had simply opened. The golf cart was knocked on its aspect within the collision.
Jeffrey was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Ocala. The motive force of the Camaro was not injured.
